Hard to beat this product. Top quality, good fit, made in Italy (not China!). I upgraded my boots with better laces and superfeet foot-beds. Proper lacing and pull are keys to a good fit and reducing heal slip. I will update this review after a heavy pack-serious backpacking trip.

Did some serious backpacking in Zamberlan Baffin on Mt Rainier and Sahale peak (Cascades). Excellent boot. Got water inside them on Rainier (was not wearing gaiters)and the leather shrunk a bit to fit my feet perfectly! Top quality boot built to last. Extremely comfortable after break-in...recommend you hike in them soaking wet and let them mould to your feet..worked for me!
