Gear Review: Craft Big Logo Cap

For those times when a little skull cap just want do, but you still want a hat that wicks and breathes.

Although skull caps have their place, sometimes you want a looser hat that doesn’t feel like a head condom. Enter the Big Logo, made of 70 percent acrylic and 30 percent wool. It’s heavy and insulating enough that it keeps you warm sitting around camp, but it also breathes efficiently, so you can hike in it. “I never felt smothered or constricted even when I was really working,” one editor says. She also liked that it was lined with thin, quick-wicking fabric rather than fleece, “which sometimes feels soggy to me.” One size. $35, 2.5 oz.
