Don't know about you, but I find that all that spicy, starchy, food makes me twice to three times as more thirsty on the trail than say a typical beef stew and I find myself desperately seeking water...You gotta think about Food and Drink and what you put in your body and how it reacts in your body..Some spicy foods are like Alcohol, which your body is allegic too which can cause your desire to drink more of it because you body wants to build up an immunity to the alcohol which it cannot do so you drink more..Same with some curries and spicy foods, my body does not like Celantro in any shape or form and if on the trail well, my water needs goes up to replace the water I lost from eating the Celantro, same with somepeople and MSG...So before trying these food items out on the trail, eat them at home first and see how your body reacts, especialy if you body desires a lot of water...just saying...
