What do dads really want? Hint: not more ties or car wash gift certificates. We polled our male staffers to find out what they hope to get (or give) this June 19th.

Ever since I tested the Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 UL ($400, bigagnes.com) four years ago, I’ve wanted one. It’s everything a tent should be: a spacious weather fortress that’s barely noticeable in your pack.
short folks and tall folks, male and female, anyone not "normal sized", gear is hard to find and afford. We old folks go slower too!

Ditto here! I'm 5' 0" also. Plus I have a short torso compared to my legs. It's hard to find clothes and gear that fits. I'll be a tester, too! ;-)

I've always thought there should be a section for backpacking gear and clothes designed for "vertically challenged" adults. I'm 5' and it has taken me months and lots of returned backpacks and hiking boots/shoes to find the right fit. I've looked at gear for children but the fit and quality is lacking. If Backpacker decides to test out gear for shorter people, I'm willing to help out!
