[coffee maker]
Coffee aficionados: Plop this silicone device onto your mug, add a paper cone filter and your favorite dark roast, and you’re just a quick pour away from the perfect cup. It packs down flat to the size of a coaster for easy stowing, thanks to the rubbery folding bellows, and with a hard plastic base it sits sturdily atop a small pot or even a wide-mouth water bottle. “The clear plastic base let me see inside the cup to prevent overfilling, so I was able to line up six cups and fill them all with a single (albeit generous) cone full of grinds.” $13; 4.8 oz.; gsioutdoors.com
Not all of us care about ounces... or the fact the coffee is a diuretic. Since Taster's Choice tastes like crap I'll go the route of bringing along the coffee kit. Personally I went with the MSR coffee mate.

Is this for showing off or what? Adding ounces to your pack soon leads to pounds. So is the reason for the trip to show off all your Coffe gadgets or for hiking. If I drink coffee I use the little tiny package of Tasters Choice but since Coffee is a diruetic I try to avoid it in the field and go to tea which has more health benefits than coffee.
