Gear Review: Adidas Terrex Conrax CP

Warm enough for lifties but in a light and nimble package.

The best boot of the season carves out a new category, with insulation warm enough for lifties in a package that’s so light and nimble you’ll want to run up the slopes.

Temperature-sensitive lugs harden and dig into snow and ice when the mercury drops, providing outstanding traction.

Plus, a neoprene zip cover means no fumbling with frozen laces on day two of your adventure.

Why it is impossible to buy an Adidas Terrex Conrax 8,5 or 9 USA size, in all the world?
Can you suggest me a way to do it?

Any idea how you keep the speed lacing system working? I like the boots, but I keep having to tighten up the laces.

They also have a tendency to "bite" the top of my foot when I'm climbing up steep terrain and the boot flexes. I was surprised how good they work with crampons. Only issue I've had is that I need to make sure the heel is set in the back of the crampons.

I have a pair of these - It's hard to understand why people wear other boots! They are simply fantastic. Be aware though: they are a little wide for most crampons. Otherwise this is a new standard for winter hikes. If you can manage to find a pair that is. Adidas underestimated their sales potential sadly and cosequently they are very hard to find.

You owe to yourself to try a pair on.
