Cheers to the "below" comment (and all references made to Dec. 14 Post)
Everlite "EL-8" (the EL-9 looks like a joke, which makes me wonder if the EL-8 was ever bringing up)

EL-9 something some drunk would wear (MSRP of under $20 cant be quality, can it?) have a look:

Cheers to the above comment. I thought it was a joke that when I noticed the sponsored by SPOT & while wondering what it was, I clicked on navigation devices and ta-da! there it is. Where are the headlamps? There are so many options it would be nice to have a neutral review on them. Like the above comment "fail at the most inopportune times" I really liked the editor's pick from 08 the Everlite EL-9 so when you find your batteries have died your not out of luck. But then this great idea has been discontinued without an explanation or replacement? I'd like to know is it Moe, Larry or Curly running this bit?
I am appalled that you recommend only electronic navigation aids (half can't even be considered aids) in your gear guide. Stop taking money from companies wanting you to endorse their gear. If you cared at all about the wellbeing of your readers you'd tell them to get a compass and map and learn how to use them before wasting money on devices that will fail at the most inopportune times.
