Yeah we can register dogs, cats, lizards, fish, blood sucking politicians, create a whole new tax and branch of government, we know how well it has worked for other things. How about we just ban exotics, oops that hasn't worked either. If its an exotic in the wild kill it to protect the eco-system.

I would recoment tagging each snake with a chip, much like they do in dogs that identifies where each snake was sold and to whom, any snake that is then released into the wild and then caught can be traced back to the owner. If the person who bought the snake chooses to sell it another person, make a requirement that the exchange of ownership be processed thru a pet dealer.

Great new article, it involves the reader making them think about the story a bit rather then just blurting it out...
