This slide show doesn't work for me. Only a few of the enlarged images appear. I have Comcast cable and use IE 8 and Vista. This is disappointing, but I often have problems with Backpacker's pages.

Update both java and Adobe flash and make sure that IE isn't blocking content - go into IE Internet Options --> Security --> and either click on 'restore all zones to default levels' or change the settings of the Internet Zone to Medium or Med-high.

Very helpful. I know the suggestions but don't always know how to do it. Thanks.

As a newspaper editor, where cloning tools are a no-no, I generally don't like them being used in nature shots, too.

photoshop.com has a lot of adjustment tools for pictures as well as online photo storage. It's free, too, if you don't feel like paying the hundreds of dollars for Photoshop. I used it for a while until I got CS4. Photobucket also offers some free editing tools.

I agree with Steve. While fiddling with white balance, saturation, contrast, brightness, cropping etc. is working with what you have and what is really there, using cloning tools and painting over your picture are cheating. Your picture is no longer showing what is there, but rather your own creating.
