Huntington's Ravine up Tuckerman's Ravine down

nh

Star Star Star Star Star

Distance: 9.1 miles

Start a pinkam notch visitor center. Head up Tuckerman Ravine trail. Took Huntington Ravine tr up. Due to ice we cheated and finished the last mile to Mt. Washington summit on the auto road. 100 mile views and we were the only people on the mountain. Took Tuckermans trail to base

Very,Very steep and rugged terrain. Not for beginners nor faint at heart. Do not go down Huntington. Once you start you need to finish it and loop either alpine garden trail or bag the peak. Long day  and physically exhausting. I cannot stress enough that this is not for beginners or children.   out of the 9.194 miles is above 50 degrees up and down.
