Typical Grand Canyon trip with large amounts of ups and large amounts of downs. Lots of people at Phantom Ranch and few at Cottonwood campground. From Cottonwood campground to the North Rim and back down was completely void of people and wildlife. Going solo was perfect. I loved the solitude! A little icy on the trail which made it interesting with drops in the hundreds of feet going up to the North Rim but managable. Will be a yearly trip for me I'm sure.
