| NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS |
Started from the parking lot at Lyndale Ave/35W. At about 1.8 miles I came to a water crossing with a raft secured by ropes on both sides. Had to pull the raft over and pull the rope to get to the other side. Saw 3 deer around mile 3 and an owl. I stopped to look around and 20 yards to my left was a buck laying next to the inlet. It had a small 8 pt rack and blended in perfectly. It didn't move other taking a couple chews here and there. I stayed there for several minutes just staring at it. It either didn't care or thought it blended in so well that it didn't need to move. Rain started coming down heavier about 1/4 mile from the end.
