The Black Forest Trail is a 42 mile trail near the town of Slate Run, PA in North-Central PA. It's a quite hilly trail, considered by many to be one of the hardest trails in PA. It features great views, picturesque woods, and wildlife. The route my Dad, brother, and I took followed about 25 miles of the BFT and included about 5 miles of side trails to get back to our starting point. The whole BFT is mapped here.
