| NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS |
The trip starts out at a trailhead just south of Poway Rd. on Hwy 67. Park along the east side of the road. The trail head is well marked. The trail begins as a wide flat trail that heads east, before starting to wind up the mountain. There is only one turn (right had turn) that is well marked with a sign to Iron Mountain. This trail is steady up until you get to the top where there is a picnic table.
Retrace our steps back to the trailhead.
Overall this trail is not overly difficult but is a good workout.
