Moose River Bow Trip

me

Star Star Star Star Star

Distance: 36.6 miles

  • The morning after the LONG portage...
  • This is the life...!
  • The begining of the day...
  • Almost home...
  • The begining of the "hell portage"

One of the "must do" canoe trips of Maine, the Moose River Bow Trip boasts 34 miles of scenic beauty, a few nice rips (runable in higher waters), great camping in primitave sites, and the convience of ending where you start! The only bad thing: a full mile and a quater of portage between the two lakes. I'm not going to lie, this portate sucks! But if one packs light, it is feasable and the rest of the trip is worth it!
