| NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS |
Rose Peak, at an elevation of just over 8700 feet, is located in the Apache National Forest, Greenlee County, Arizona. As if your drive to this location, along US 191 (formerly Route 666 or "Devil's Highway"), wasn't enjoyment enough, the short hike to this peak and fire lookout provides the chance to stretch your legs and take in some of the most limitless views Arizona offers.

The short (a half mile according to the sign, however our GPS differed at 0.7 mile) hike to the top is shaded by the trees, and provides some nice glimpses of the curvy US 191 below. Once you reach the top you'll find the Rose Peak Lookout tower. The tower isn't occupied year round, but announce your presence and if someone is on duty they should allow you to come up for a higher vantage point.

Enjoy the Hike and the View!
