Trail/Trip description
The road is wide and clear.  Watch out for other pedestrians or bike riders.  This is a popular spot.  This mostly level trail is made even more lovely as the Roanoke River trickles gingerly along side you along the greenway.  Along the trail, you may notice blue boxes.  These boxes are created and maintained by a local member of the Virginia Bluebird Society.

Notes/Add-ons
Dixie Caverns is a local spot, often reccomended for out of town guests.  Dixie Caverns offers a pottery store and gift shop.  Head home with a pouch of semi-precious stones or other trinkets.  On a hot summer day, Dixie Carvens in particularly apealing as the underground temperature is always around a cool 55 degrees..
