Velma Lakes are fairly heavily traveled, but we found Lower Velma to be very quiet, because there was no designated trails to the lake. Find the outlet stream from Upper Velma and follow it down to Lower Velma. If you work your way around the West side of Lower Velma, you will find some incredible camping sites, nestle in the granite lakeside. Fishing was successful, we caught three good size rainbow trout.
