| NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS |
Poe Paddy is a small park nestled in Bald Eagle State Forest along Penns Creek. It has a few extra parking spots that can be used by backpackers. The Mid-State Trail goes right through this park. This hike followed the MST for a bit then loops back to the park using another trail.
The hike begins with a stiff climb of 600 feet followed by another less aggressive 200 feet of climbing, but over the typical rocks/boulders of central PA.
Made Camp on top of the ridge in a relatively flat area. Luckily we were using hammocks as there was not a single patch of flat, rockless land to be seen other than directly on the trail.
The trail descends shortly after that. Hang a right at the happy hollow trail which intersects with the road that leads back to the park.
