|NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS|
14.7 sandy miles; a mostly straight stretch of beach, nicely packed by the tide, makes it (next to) impossible to get lost. Don't worry about tiring out on this one; this first leg shares the beach with motor vehicles, so you can always hitch a ride with one of the friendly 4x4ers. As you lose the view of Washington to the North, you start to gain the sight of Tillamook Head to the South. The beach walk is broken up only by a shipwreck (the unfortunate Peter Iredale) and a (very) few road access points.
