|NATIONAL PARKS QUICKLINKS|
This track is a composite of two trips: one a short overnight (the southerly tracks), one a half-day hike. My gps was not on for the whole of either trip. The eventual goal is to find a route south from Pleasant Creek and across, the slickrock slot canyon of Burro Wash, and continuing south to Oak Creek through the heart of the Waterpocket Fold.
Total trip distance for the 2.5-day scout shown here was about 9.5 miles. The second day hike was complicated by high water and weak ice bridges at all fords of Pleasant Creek (usually jumpable).
So, for all that plotted searching, and more, the total amount of viable route added was less than 1.5 miles. Welcome to redrock country.
