Ouachita National Recreation Trail - Sections 1 & 2 - EGPSThe Ouachita National Recreation Trail is a 223 mile (59 km) hiking and backpacking trail through the Ouachita Mountains of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The trail starts on the west end at Talimena State Park in Oklahoma, and the east end is at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Arkansas. McGee Creek Natural Scenic Recreaton AreaThe McGee Creek Natural Scenic Area is an 8900 acre recreation area. The last few trips we've been on were on the more difficult side. This time I wanted to go on a decidedly easier trip so as not to burn out my son with back to back, to back hard trips. Redbud Valley Natural AreaOne mile loop trail with some steep, rocky sections. Characterized by rock outcroppings, overhanging bluffs/shelter caves, rocky ravines, thick woods and hilltop glades that are more common in SE Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks. Located just outside of Tulsa and close to I-44. |
