Cape May, NJ: To the Sea and Through the WoodsDom and I were up early to hit the road, and we spun through Cape May as the sleepy little seaside town awakened after previous evening's festivities. Very similar to my ride from the day before, but with a longer trip north. Really good riding through the second half of this figure-eight loop. Edwin Forsythe Wildlife PreserveThis is a 2.07 mile out and back trail. It starts at the trail head, a small parking lot at the side of the road. The beginning is typical New Jersey coastal wooded area that leads out to a lagoon and the Barnegat Bay. I have seen deer, Canada geese, and many mosquitoes. 2008 City to Shore MS Ride: 75-milerThis ride started off from the Woodcrest Patco Station at about 7am with 7,000 riders pledging to ride to fight MS. I heard as we rolled out that the event raised $4,316,022.77 for Multiple Sclerosis research. Positive. I was part of Team crEATe, a five-person group that raised $3,977.70. |
