I Love this day pack. For a day pack it is spacious. I have starting using this pack for ultralite overnight solos and I am VERY happy. It's a top loader with self sealing zippers on all but the main compartment which has a nice flap and doesn't seem to cause any leaks. There are plenty of strapping points on the outside of the pack for over nighter when you need to bring a little more then the pack can hold. The padding is great on both the shoulders, back and the waist. The hyro hooks are well placed and the compression straps are effective. For the price you will be pressed to find a better pack in my opinion.
Sleeping Bag Water Test Pt. I:
In this gear test, Shannon Davis jumps in three sleeping bags and we hose them down to see how each one handles high-force rain.

Sleeping Bag Water Test Part II:
Yeah, we know you probably won't ever get fully submerged in a raging river while in your sleeping bag, but that's not good enough for us.

Q.}
On an episode of Survivorman, Les Stroud cooked grasshoppers, stating if you didn't, you might get a tapeworm. But he ate a raw scorpion–couldn't one just as easily get a tapeworm from a scorpion?

Here's what I think I know: Grasshoppers are herbivores. They can eat tapeworm eggs and larvae, maintain them in their gut, and pass them to you.
