For the price it can't be beat. I hike, climb, travel and generally abuse the heck out of this pack and I truely believe it loves me for every second. Once you get to know the pack you can shift the load pretty well and I have had over 60lbs of gear at the beginning of a weeklong when guiding friends who only had small over night packs and it was bearable... (I quickly learned to adopt some of the ultra light tricks) Top load bag that you can pack to brim and compression straps do their job though it could use another set in the middle of the pack. It's tall enough to fit my crash pad in as well with out rising past the frame. I love the day pack that the top converts into. (convert being unclip it and use it's build in waist strap. Has a clear map pocket on the day pack which is great. I keep my basic survival pack in there and use it for spur of moment climbs or treks to a watering hole as well as afterwork hikes (it stays in my truck 24/7 when not on the trail) Great bag for the money. I would recommend it for ANYONE who is getting into overnighters and needs to keep the budget reasonable.

Q.}
Does soaking your feet in black tea before a hike reduce sweat and prevent blisters?
Submitted by: C.S., Orlando, FL
A.}
It does, and here's why. Black tea contains tannins, a bitter-tasting plant compound that gives red wine a tart flavor. And since tannins are astringents, they shrink or constrict body tissues, including the pores on your feet, causing you to sweat less.
