COLEMAN MAX 65L

Manufacturer: coleman

Reviewed by: bigMontana

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A COLEMAN MAX 65LTR. BACKPACK FROM WAL-MART.IVE ALWAYS USED A MILITARY A.L.I.C.E. PACK ,AND JUST GOT IT TO TRY A INTERNAL FRAME PACK. THIS THING WAS SUPER CHEAP (LIKE $72 AND I DID NOT EXPECT A WHOLE LOT FROM IT BUT WAS REALY SUPER SUPRISED AT THE VALUE. ITS A TOP LOADER WITH ONE LARGE COMPARTMENT THAT SEPERATES FOR A SLEEPING BAG AND HAS A SMALL POUCH INSIDE (JUST BAERLY BIG ENOUGH FOR MY BLADDER ) 2 SMALLER SIDE POCKETS BIG ENOUGH TO HOLD A 16.4 OZ PROPANE BOTTLE AND A FEW SMALLER ITEMS ON EITHER SIDE. AND TWO WATER BOTTLE HOLDERS. A DOUBLE LOOP SYSTEM TO ATACHE VARIS ITEMS AND A PAIR OF STRAPS FOR A TENT OR SLEEPING PAD AT THE BOTTOM . ICE AX LOOPS AND A TOP COMPARTMENT ON YHE LID ( WITH BUILT IN REMOVEABLE RAIN COVER )ADJUSTIBLE TORSO STRAPS ( KIND OF A PAIN TO ADJUST BUT IT WORKS QUITE WELL ) AND NICE THICK WAIST , BACK , AND SHOULDER PADDING. EVERY OTHER PACK IVE LOOKKED AT THAT IS REMOTELY CLOSE IS IN THE $169-$200 RANG FOR THE PRICE YOU JUST CANT BEAT THIS PACK. THE ONLY REASON I DID NOT GIVE IT FIVE STARS IS THE TORSO ADJUSTMENT IS HARD TO ADJUST BUT AFTER YOU GET IT WERE YOU WANT ITS SOLID. AND THERE WAS WHAT I THINK IS A SMALL FACTORY DEFECT IN THE ZIPPER THAT SEPPARATES THE SLEEPING BAG COMPARTMENT FROM THE TOP COMPARTMEN THERE IS A SMALL SPOT WERE THE ZIPPER IS NOT SEWN (ABOT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER ) IN ONE CORNER . BUT WAS EASLY FIXED. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A CHEAP PACK TO GET STARTED , OR NEED A SPARE I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS CHEAP PACK.
