Great tent for the price! On a camping trip to southwest Colorado with a friend, I packed everything, but the tent. We stopped at an outdoor store and bought this one as a cheaper alternative. It's ended up being one of my favorite tents. It has a very simple setup in that you can't get it wrong. The polls are the same and they can go either way. The rainfly is the same on both sides, so it too can clip in either way. For a two-man tent, it has plenty of room too. I'm 6ft tall and easily can sit up and there's plenty of room to lie down with a bag at your feet. I use this tent when there's two of us and the dog, and we always sleep comfortably. It has roomy vestibules too, and two side doors. When you consider all the room and the price, it's not that heavy either. We usually split the weight in our packs and are happy that we have more room. It's held up well in thunderstorms too. No complaints yet.

Q.} Are survival blankets dangerous to use during electrical storms?
Submitted by: D.R., Sacramento, CA
A.} Go ahead and wrap up, especially if you need extra warmth or shelter. Mylar, the silvery material in most solar blankets, is a polyester insulator designed to trap body heat. Metallic coatings can make it conductive, but lightning safety is less about what you are holding and more about where you are standing (or crouching, as you should be doing if an electrical storm is on top of you).
