It is practical when travelling on a glacier. You cannot bury it because the snow melts and it becomes exposed causing even more health issues. You cannot buils a fire on a glacier.

Sorry to all you greenie types but according to WHO, CDC and many other health officials, carrying fecal matter or blood contaminated hygiene products is not only extremely unhealthy but impractical, foolish and possibly dangerous, especially in bear country. Bury toilet paper in your cat hole as it is biodegradable or burn it in your campfire. Blood contaminated items should also be buried or burned. Use your common sense people.
