An internal frame pack with 4,000 to 5,000 cubic inches of capacity offers good versatility. Make sure the torso fits, then look for a firm hipbelt, curved shoulder straps that end just below your armpits, and enough clearance for your elbows and thighs.

Have you thought about solar backpacks? I bought a solar messenger bag about a month ago and I love it...

I always forget a charger for an electronic device (usually my cellphone which has a really short battery life) and I can charge it with my backpack..Pretty sweet, kinda nerdy, but I notice it starts conversations about solar technology which is a really cool thing.
