CAMP COFFEE GEAR
4 backcountry brew gadgets even the snobbiest baristas will love.

Light and fast
Coffee snobs, hold onto your mugs: We found instant java that doesn't taste like day-old gas station brew. Café Bustelo Mexican Blend ($2.75, 2 oz.) made the cut for its smooth and strong flavor. Fans of Medaglia D'Oro Instant Espresso ($3, 2 oz.) said "robust, with a hint of cinnamon." After dinner, go with Café Bustelo Cappuccino ($3, five single-serving packets). The mocha-flavored version is great alone as a cocoa alternative, or blended with a shot of whiskey. All are available at javacabana.com.

I take Starbucks "singles" instant packets.
They taste better than Instant expresso or the Nescafe. You do have to bring your own creamer or some instant cocoa if you don't like it black.

I started using the Toddy Cafe system a few years ago and have never looked back. It produces a liquid concentrate which I pack in a collapsible platypus bottle. Add hot or cold water and you are living in java nirvana.

So far, nothing beats Starbucks Via. (Google it)

Even my wife will drink it black and she is not a coffee drinker!

We don't just use one packet for 8 oz, we brew 20 oz with one packet for a FANTASTIC 2 cups of joe!

Hey Backpacker! What about Folgers Singles? You can't get much "faster" or "lighter" than that! Also, they taste pretty darn good!

I like to take along packets of Java juice coffee extract then just mix with water(hot or cold). small, light, tasty.

Let's start off a new year with a great cup of coffee. First, take along a small, extra light coffee pot. Second, fill with filtered water, let the pocket rocket do its stuff. Third, went it starts to boil, fill with almost fine ground coffee, stir put the lid on and wait a few minutes. And lastly, drink cowboy coffee at its best.

I'm about to rock your world. Google Nescafe 3-in-1.
I discovered this while in the Philippines. It's a single server packet with instant coffee, creame and sugar. They even have an extra-caffeine variation! There are many sites to buy this in the US online. Or, look for it at your local asian food market.

I pack oatmeal into a large zip lock along with enought coffee to provide a coffee flavored oatmeal with a real kick. cuts down on packing materials and having to prepare seperate cup of coffe/oatmael. This sustains me for 2 meals a day.

I take the instant bustelo mix some dried coffee creamer and some splenda all together and carry in a small bag and then when I boil some water in the morning for my oatmeal and ready to go instant coffee mix, I am ready to go.

WHat can I say - it's a whirl of magnificence -, you know -- it's a tsunami of sunshine...and not just the shine - the power, the force of the sun - it has it's own might. Just let me bask in it for a moment but be sure I will help in whatever capacity I can...and I'll write more later (tonight) in response to your suggestions .
