Great video. While leading a group on the Crawford Path I came across a woman on Monroe that was ready to quit because of a ill adjusted pack. I readjusted it (especially the load lifters) and she made it into Lakes Hut way fine!!!
Is this supposed to be useful information to anyone who has used a backpack more than once?
Is this a female - specific pack? This is an important feature for gals at 1:55 in your video. If the shoulder strap and suspension are not properly engineered and contoured it can lead to discomfort.
Also, you mention the lumbar straps are not noticeable on most packs, which is true, but on properly engineered packs, such as Gregorys, these straps can make a world of difference!
Good advice, but it seems like it would also be wise to educate people on carrying less so there is less impact overall.
It would be really cool if your videos were encoded to be watched on ipads and iphones.
Good video but if you get a better pack like a Kifaru or a Mystery Ranch the load lifters will be at the higher 30-45 degree angle where they work best. This will pull the pack into you and lift the weight off of your shoulders at the same time.
very informative video. you guys should post more useful tips like these!! :)
