2010 Photo Contest: the Outtakes

  • I was photographing the fall colors in Uncompahgre National Forest in Colorado when this band of light appeared just long enough to take a few frames. It was one of the most spectacular displays I have ever seen. (Tim Ferrara)
  • This is my son Andres (14) and I on the summit of Mt. Baldy 12,441 Cimarron, NM, in 90-plus mph winds. This was one of the only times we attempted to stand. We were part of a crew of 11 in the Philmont High Adventure Scout Camp. (Andy Littig)
